Privacy Policy
Effective date: [Month Day, Year]
This Privacy Policy explains how Clikamo (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal data when you use clikamo.com and its tools (the “Service”). It is written to meet the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
1. Who we are
The data controller is [Legal business name], [Street address, City, ZIP, Country], [VAT / registration number]. Contact us about privacy at hello@clikamo.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us (name, email, profile picture).
- Content you submit: the text you enter into our tools (for example video topics, keywords and titles) and the results generated for you. If you are signed in, we store them so you can see them in your history.
- Usage and security data: a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (we never store the IP itself), the number of generations you make, timestamps, and technical logs needed to run and protect the Service.
- Billing data: if you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, billing country and postal code for tax purposes, and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
3. How and why we use your data
- To provide the Service: generating results, saving your history and managing your account (performance of a contract).
- To enforce free-plan limits and prevent abuse, spam and fraud (legitimate interests).
- To process payments, issue invoices and calculate sales tax or VAT (performance of a contract and legal obligations).
- To send essential service emails, such as sign-in links and billing notices (performance of a contract).
- To monitor costs and improve the Service using aggregated, non-identifying statistics (legitimate interests).
We do not sell or “share” your personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
4. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers (processors) that only process data on our instructions:
- Supabase: authentication and database hosting.
- Vercel: website hosting and delivery.
- Anthropic: the AI model that generates results. The text you submit is sent to Anthropic to produce your output. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models by default.
- Stripe: payments, subscriptions and tax calculation.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5. International transfers
Some providers process data in the United States. Where data leaves the EU/UK, transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
- Account data and saved generations: until you delete them or your account.
- Guest generations and hashed IP data: kept only as long as needed to apply daily limits and prevent abuse; anti-bot counters are deleted within 24 hours.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. California residents can also request to know what we collect and ask us to delete it; we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Email hello@clikamo.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. EU/UK residents may also complain to their local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security so each user can only access their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Cookies
We only use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and run the Service. See our Cookie Policy.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we will notify signed-in users by email or on the site before they take effect.
